Formed in 1970, the band is a brass and reed band consisting of flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, French horns, euphoniums, trombones, tuba and percussion. The band plays a range of material including marches, classical and light music, airs and hymns.

Tullamore Gospel Choir was launched in 2003 and has the distinction of being the biggest Choir of its kind in Ireland, with almost 100 members and a waiting list of over 50. They have raised thousands of Euros for charities, won competitions and performed for President Mary McAleese.

The Academy Chamber Choir was founded in September 2008 as part of a performing groups initiative undertaken by The Academy of Music in Tullamore. Their achievements to date include First Place in the Chamber Choirs Competition in the “Navan Choral Festival 2010” and runners up with certificate of Distinction in the “Rotary Choir of the Year 2010” and they have been chosen as finalists on Lyric FM Choirs for Christmas competition in December 2009.
The Academy Chamber Choir have been working an ambitious performance and competitive schedule for 2010. They are a growing force in pushing choral boundaries and remain committed to achieving and maintaining choral excellence.

Tullamore St. Colmcille's Pipe Band, is a traditional pipe. Through a love of pipe band music, dedication of our members and support from the local community, the band continues to thrive. Tullamore pipe band was formed in 1911, making it the third oldest band in the country.

There are almost one hundred members in the award winning Sacred Heart School Orchestra from First Year to Sixth Year. The orchestra participates in many school and community events, along with competing in music festivals. In 2009 the S.H.S. Orchestra won the ‘Dorothy Mayor Foundation Cup’ at Feis Ceoil in the R.D.S. Dublin.
The Sacred Heart School choirs have won many awards at festivals both nationally and internationally. Their greatest accolade was being crowned "All Ireland School's Choral winners" in 2000. They have toured Germany, Austria, Italy and Czechoslovakia.They have performed on RTE Radio and television. Both the orchestra and choir are directed by Regina McCarthy
There are also a number of privately run drama, dance and music schools such as the Midland Drama School and the Academy of Music, Tullamore School of Rock etc.
